TODAY’S TEXT:
Deuteronomy 4:31.
“For the LORD thy God is a merciful God; he will not forsake thee, neither destroy thee, nor forget the covenant of thy fathers which he sware unto them.”
TODAY’S MESSAGE:
Beloved, to be merciful is to forgive and unwilling to punish for injury caused. While, our today’s text highlights that our God, *”…will not forsake thee, neither destroy thee, nor forget the covenant of thy fathers.”* This implies that whatever happens God will not abandon you.
Nevertheless, our memory verse revealed that God is, _”slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy.”_ God gives time for you and me to repent, He is not hasty in His judgement. God allows us a lot of time to return to him and when we do, He takes us in, like the Father of the prodigal son. (Luke 15: 22-24)
Meanwhile, He says in Ezekiel 18:32, *”…For I have no pleasure in the death of him that dies, says the Lord GOD: wherefore repent, and live.”* Do know that no matter how big is your atrocities, all that God require from you is repentance. Come back to God today, he awaits your return.
In conclusion, another scripture declared thus, _”…rend your heart, and not your garments, and turn unto the LORD your God: for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repenteth him of the evil.”_ (Joel 2:13) Dear friend, today when you approach God, humble yourself, be sober, be not with the haughty spirit, plead for mercy and you will be forgiven and redeemed. Shalom!
God bless you.
Till He returns or calls you home, do remain in the power of Jesus love.
*Jesus is coming very soon.*
Be prepared.
