The Defeated Enemies: Death.

MEMORY VERSE:
“He will swallow up death in victory; and the Lord GOD will wipe away tears from off all faces…”
Isaiah 25:8.

TODAY’S TEXT:
1 Corinthians 15:54-56.
“So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.”

TODAY’S MESSAGE:
As Christians, many are the battles of life that we face on daily basis, many of which are mimics or replay of previous battles, won for us by our Commandant; Jesus Christ. Or a reflex of the enemies reprisal, in order to recapture the lost ground.
Meanwhile, our today’s text expressly declared that, time is coming when soldiers of Christ, will transcend to immortality, in order to continue living in eternity. May you and I not miss this opportunity in Jesus name. Amen.
Furthermore, through our Lord and savior; Jesus Christ, as Christians we rejoice in the face of physical death, knowing full well that, it is a gateway to our eternal inheritance. And in Christ Jesus, we defeated death’s agony and Victoriously entered into our forever joy and rewards in heaven. Beloved, Jesus died for us, that we may not die, the second death after leaving the earth.
Finally by grace, we reign not over physical death alone, but over spiritual death and agony. May you receive grace and mercy from above, to remain in God’s love. Most importantly, may you not miss the victory won for you over death in Jesus name. Amen.

God bless you.
Till He returns or call you home, do remain in the power of His love.
*Jesus is coming very soon.*
Be prepared.

DAILY CONFESSION:
In my savour, I am rejoicing and glad.

PRAYER POINT:
Father in heaven, with You I am happy and blessed. In your mercy, help me to maintain my victory over physical and spiritual death in Jesus name. Amen.

Yours in Christ,

Spiritual Depression: Dashed Hope.

THE NARROW WAY DAILY DIGEST

THEME:
Spiritual Depression: Dashed Hope.

MEMORY VERSE:
“And he said unto her, What wilt thou? She saith unto him, Grant that these my two sons may sit, the one on thy right hand, and the other on the left, in thy kingdom.”
Matthew 20:21.

TODAY’S TEXT:
John 21:2-3.
“…Simon Peter, and Thomas called Didymus, and Nathanael of Cana in Galilee, and the sons of Zebedee, and two other of his disciples. Simon Peter saith unto them, I go a fishing. They say unto him, We also go with thee. They went forth, and entered into a ship immediately; and that night they caught nothing.”

TODAY’S MESSAGE:
In the last part of this series, we saw there are times, God allow His faithful children to be tested. In order to prove their loyalty and respect for Him, even in the midst of heavy and severe temptations. Which is big enough to derail any carefree believer and the pressure from family and friends cannot be overemphasized.
Nevertheless, it is possible for one to be discouraged and depressed. For when what one hoped for, is shattered or unrealistic. May your hope, not be dashed in Jesus name. Amen. And our today’s text thus speak of Peter saying, *”I go fishing,”* and other fishermen disciples with him followed him, after the death of Jesus. At this point their hope was dashed, their expectations was shattered.
More so, the request of James and John’s mother is the pointer to the fact that, they were expectant, they hope for a great reward. And that, Jesus is to bring about political revolution in Israel of their time, a share of which, they hoped for.
Eventually, their hope of political gain was dashed. At a point, Peter declared that he is going back into fishing. And through the night of labour, they caught nothing. Another disappointment with failed hope. But thank God for Jesus’s intervention, hence, they would have lost out totally. May you not loose your integrity and labour in Christ Jesus in Jesus name. Amen.

God bless you.
Till He returns or call you home, do remain in the power of His love.
*Jesus is coming very soon.*
Be prepared.

DAILY CONFESSION:
Through the help of God, my hope will not dashed, neither will my faith waiver.

PRAYER POINT:
Dependable Father, help me Lord, to always trust in you. And as I trust in you, may I not miss my divine moment of restoration and intervention in Jesus name. Amen.

Yours in Christ,
B. J. Folorunsho.

Spiritual Depression: Test Of Faith.

THE NARROW WAY DAILY DIGEST

THEME:
Spiritual Depression: Test Of Faith.

MEMORY VERSE:
“So went Satan forth from the presence of the LORD, and smote Job with sore boils from the sole of his foot unto his crown.”
Job 2:7.

TODAY’S TEXT:
Job 2:9-10.
“Then said his wife unto him, Dost thou still retain thine integrity? curse God, and die. But he said unto her, Thou speakest as one of the foolish women speaketh. What? shall we receive good at the hand of God, and shall we not receive evil? In all this did not Job sin with his lips.”

TODAY’S MESSAGE:
Yesterday, we observed that in difficult times, the unbelievers are so quick to mock a believer, all because they are of better advantage at that point in time. And the essence of their mockery is to make a believer fret and die spiritually.
Meanwhile, our memory verse thus reveals, that God often allow His children to go through test of faith or trial in order to prove their unchanging loyalty to Him. What are you passing through in life? have you checked to know whether it is a test of faith or as a result of one sin or the other?
Furthermore, If it is test of faith, God will endowed you with enough grace to overcome. And if it is sin, repent and confess to Him today, He will forgive and restore you back to Him. At a time, Satan spoke through Job’s wife, telling Job to curse God and die. But the scripture says in Job 1:22,
*”In all this Job sinned not, nor charged God foolishly.”*
Finally beloved in Christ, let’s not forget that, all the plans of the enemy is that one should die, please don’t give in, stand firm and believe that God will surely see you through and your tomorrow shall be greater than today in Jesus name. Amen.

God bless you.
Till He returns or call you home, do remain in the power of His love.
*Jesus is coming very soon.*
Be prepared.

DAILY CONFESSION:
No matter what may come my way. My life is in God’s hands and He will see me through.

PRAYER POINT:
Loving and Faithful Father, nothing is hidden before You. Give me Lord, the grace not to fail you in the face of life’s trials and test of faith. In Your mercy, uphold me till the end of time in Jesus name. Amen.

Yours in Christ,
B. J. Folorunsho.

Spiritual Depression: Mockery.

THEME:
Spiritual Depression: Mockery.

MEMORY VERSE:
“And she was in bitterness of soul, and prayed unto the LORD, and wept sore.”
1 Samuel 1:10.

TODAY’S TEXT:
1 Samuel 1:6, 8.
“And her adversary also provoked her sore, for to make her fret, because the LORD had shut up her womb. Then said Elkanah her husband to her, Hannah, why weepest thou? and why eatest thou not? and why is thy heart grieved?…”

TODAY’S MESSAGE:
Yesterday, we considered delayed hope as one of the things that do cause spiritual depression. A situation whereby your desire was not forth coming. When you are not able to receive your expectations on time, year in and out.
However, in times of trouble and sorrow, the enemies will increase their enmity towards you, in in order to derail you from God. Hannah’s case was not an exceptions, she was provoked, mocked and ridiculed by her adversary to the extent of weeping day and night. What are the comments made to fret you or spoken against your God? Don’t be depressed, just take it to God in prayer.
Meanwhile, Hannah was scorned and derided by a member of her family, in order to terminate God’s plan for her life. And just like Hannah, men’s comments against you may get to your heart, and make your soul sick. Beloved, even at this always remember the few good ones around you.
Finally, no matter the level of the mockery hauled at you, by your mockers, please don’t give up on God. And just like Hannah, the good God will enlarge your mouth over your adversaries and you will greatly rejoice at last in Jesus name. Amen.

God bless you.
Till He returns or call you home, do remain in the power of His love.
*Jesus is coming very soon.*
Be prepared.

DAILY CONFESSION:
I will not be dismay. I refuse sorrow, agony and shame.

PRAYER POINT:
Father of all fathers, you are the one that can change fruitlessness to fruitfulness. Oh Lord, turn my sorrow to Joy. Daddy from today, make me fruitful in every area of my life in Jesus name. Amen.

Yours in Christ,
B. J. Folorunsho.

Spiritual Depression: Delayed Hope.

THE NARROW WAY DAILY DIGEST

DATE:
Wednesday, March 25, 2020.

THEME:
Spiritual Depression: Delayed Hope.

MEMORY VERSE:
“And Abram said, Lord GOD, what wilt thou give me, seeing I go childless, and the steward of my house is this Eliezer of Damascus?”
Genesis 15:2.

TODAY’S TEXT:
Genesis 16:2-3.
“And Sarai said unto Abram, Behold now, the LORD hath restrained me from bearing: I pray thee, go in unto my maid; it may be that I may obtain children by her. And Abram hearkened to the voice of Sarai. And Sarai Abram’s wife took Hagar her maid the Egyptian, after Abram had dwelt ten years in the land of Canaan, and gave her to her husband Abram to be his wife.”

TODAY’S MESSAGE:
Yesterday, we considered the meaning of Depression and Spiritual Depression; in relation to unanswered prayers. Today, in furtherance of this topic; Spiritual Depression, we will be looking at Delayed Hope. Delayed Hope is simply, “Not receiving your expectations as at when due.”
Meanwhile, due to delay in fulfillment of Sarai’s fruitfulness, she was not happy and she decided to help her situation, through an alternative mean, which later leads to her sorrow and shame. As many of us use to do, with the mindset of helping God for our own benefit.
Furthermore, when there is a delay, frustration will set in, through which unreasonable ideas will flood the mind, this often leads to taking rash decisions that could terminate or reduce one’s glorious destiny, in no distant time.
Finally, the psalmist says; Psalms 37:9
“…but those that wait upon the LORD, they shall inherit the earth.” And in Psalms 62:5 he says, “My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him.” Beloved, there is blessing in waiting on God and when you wait on Him, your expectations will not be cut short. May God remove every barrier on your way today in Jesus name. Amen.

God bless you.
Till He returns or call you home, do remain in the power of His love.
*Jesus is coming very soon.*
Be prepared.

DAILY CONFESSION:
I will patiently wait on God. For my expectations comes from Him.

PRAYER POINT:
Father in heaven, you rule in the affairs of men and with You, there is no iota of failure. Remove from me, every barrier on my way and send frustration far away from my dwelling in Jesus name. Amen.

Yours in Christ,
B. J. Folorunsho.
