MEMORY VERSE:
“And when he cometh home, he calleth together his friends and neighbours, saying unto them, Rejoice with me; for I have found my sheep which was lost.”
Luke 15:6.

TODAY’S TEXT:
Luke 15:4-5.
“What man of you, having an hundred sheep, if he lose one of them, doth not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and go after that which is lost, until he find it? And when he hath found it, he layeth it on his shoulders, rejoicing.”

TODAY’S MESSAGE:
In the last edition, we observed the great value God placed on each and everyone of us in the parable of the lost coin. We saw how God meticulously seek for our return to Him in earnest, after straying away from Him.
However, our today’s text, present us with another parable told by our Lord Jesus Christ, of one sheep that got lost out of the hundred sheep, and his genuine love for the one out of hundred missing sheep; the good shepherd left the remaining ninety-nine sheep, to seek for just one missing sheep.
Furthermore, the parable of the lost sheep is very applicable to great work of man’s redemption. That the lost souls need urgent attention and care, a duty for you and me to carry out daily.
In conclusion, the lost soul, is a departed soul from God. And such soul, is exposed to certain ruin. Beloved, to go out of God’s presence is dangerous, if not brought back to God’s presence, and still not willing to return. The truth is that, Jesus Christ; the good shepherd is earnest in bringing sinner’s home. May the lost souls around us, find grace to return to the good shepherd in Jesus name. Amen.

God bless you. *Jesus is coming very soon.* Be prepared.

PRAYER POINT:
Father, give me the grace to remain in you, till the end of time. And may the good and great work of man’s redemption, not be a waste in my life in Jesus name. Amen.

The Lost Coin.

THE NARROW WAY DAILY DIGEST.

DATE: Friday, June 21, 2019.

THEME: The Lost Coin.

MEMORY VERSE:
“Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.”
Luke 15:10.

TODAY’S TEXT:
Luke 15:8-9.
“Either what woman having ten pieces of silver, if she lose one piece, doth not light a candle, and sweep the house, and seek diligently till she find it? And when she hath found it, she calleth her friends and her neighbours together, saying, Rejoice with me; for I have found the piece which I had lost.”

TODAY’S MESSAGE:
Coin is a piece of currency usually of metallic and in the body shape of a circle but sometimes polygonal or having a hole in the middle. Coin was a common currency in the past centuries, before the introduction of modern paper or poly note currency available in all countries. And this coin, serves as a legal tender to trade with, without which you cannot buy or sell.
Meanwhile, this parable told by our Lord Jesus Christ of a lost coin, which was lost, teaches us a great lesson of a great value God placed on us as individuals. Although, the coin that was lost, is small in value considering the amount of coins left with the woman.
However, the woman still put all her strength, wisdom and searching resources together till she finds it. Beloved in Christ, this implies that, God makes use of various means and methods available to bring lost souls home to Himself.
Furthermore, the saviour’s joy on their return to Him, is extremely great and immesurable. And as Christians, we must always ensure that our repentance is unto salvation.
Conclusively, until you are found in Christ Jesus, you are use less, and worth less in purpose. There will always be time to be lost and time to be found, but when you are found, please don’t stray away from the place of grace. And in case it happens, do know that there is always great joy in Heaven, when you repent and committed to holy living. You can’t afford to be lost forever in eternity. May God’s grace continue to abound in your life in Jesus name. Amen.

God bless you. *Jesus is coming very soon.* Be prepared.

DAILY CONFESSION:
By His grace, I will be committed to holy living, I cannot afford to be lost in eternity.

PRAYER POINT:
Father, in your mercy, bring me out of anything that will make me to be lost in eternity. And let your grace be sufficient for me, that when I am lost, may I be found by You in Jesus name. Amen.

“And he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds, and said unto them, Occupy till I come.”
Luke 19:13.

TODAY’S TEXT:
1 Timothy 6:11-12.
“But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness. Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.”

TODAY’S MESSAGE:
To begin with, in our memory verse, the Lord declared: “Occupy till I come.” So, what is to hold? What is the fort?
To hold is take up and keep. That’s to have, to take control, to make happen, to believe, to wait, to continue, to defend and to remain strong.
Therefore, the fort can be describe as an area enclosed and heavily defended from internal or external attack. It can be a precious gems, a beautiful edifice,
or something extremely useful and important to you.
Nevertheless, beloved in Christ, your life is a fort, your faith in Christ Jesus is a fort, your family is a fort and not to forget that your future is also part of the forts that you need to hold dearly.
However, to hold the fort, we must consider the following: 1. We must believe firmly that, with God all things are possible. 2. We must wait on God’s timing for a lasting blessings. 3. We must defend our faith and the weak ones among us. 4. We must also continue the good work of love and righteousness. 5. We must remain strong in the face of hostilities.
Finally, one of our classical Hymns encourage us by saying:
“Hold the fort, for I am coming, Jesus signal still, wave the answer back to Heaven, by Thy grace we will.” And it further states that; “Fierce and long the battle rage, but our help is near, onward comes our great commander, cheers, my comrade, cheers!” Dear friend, praise God, pray to God, study the word of God, and fast to keep fit spiritually and strength will be yours always.
May the good Lord sustain you till the end in Jesus name. Amen.

God bless you. *Jesus is coming very soon.* Be prepared.

DAILY CONFESSION:
I will hold the fort, I will not give up on God.

PRAYER POINT:
Father, sustain me in the battle of life. Help me Lord, not to give in to the pressure and attack from the enemies both within and without in Jesus name. Amen.
