The Christian God: The Consuming Fire.

THE NARROW WAY DAILY DIGEST

DATE:
Wednesday, April 28, 2020.

THEME:
The Christian God: The Consuming Fire.

MEMORY VERSE:
“For our God is a consuming fire.”
Hebrews 12:29.

TODAY’S TEXT:
Deuteronomy 9:3.
“Understand therefore this day, that the LORD thy God is he which goeth over before thee; as a consuming fire he shall destroy them, and he shall bring them down before thy face: so shalt thou drive them out, and destroy them quickly, as the LORD hath said unto thee.”

TODAY’S MESSAGE:
In the last part of this series, we discussed the Christian God as the Omnipresent One. One who is present everywhere at the same time with His full authority, power, glory and many more. For His children; the Christians, He is the instant help in the time of trouble. (Psalms 46:1)
Meanwhile, today, we are looking at another trait of God, as a consuming fire. One you must not joke with or take for granted, one whose word is His bond. He proved Himself when Elijah; the prophet ask the fire to come down, and the fire destroyed the soldiers sent to arrest him. (2 Kings 1: 9-12)
More so, the God of Elijah is still the same today, surrounding His children with fire, thereby making them inaccessible to the enemy. And destroying their destroyers. Beloved, may you never run out of God’s coverage in Jesus name. Amen.
In conclusion, how do you relate to God? As God’s friend or enemy? I beg of you, be His friend today, that you may benefit from His fire and not be consumed by His fire. God hates unrighteousness, flee all appearances of evil and desist from sin. Shalom!

God bless you.
Till He returns or calls you home, do remain in the power of Jesus love.
*Jesus is coming very soon.*
Be prepared.

DAILY CONFESSION:
I am a friend of God. I will not be destroyed, I will keep abiding under the protection of God.

PRAYER POINT:
Father Lord, please give me the grace to abide forever under Your care and guide. Help me Lord, not to take You for granted and keep surrounding me with fire as wall surrounds Jerusalem in Jesus name. Amen.

Yours in Christ,
The Narrow Way Team.
