THEME:
Power In Your Word. II.
MEMORY VERSE:
1 Samuel 31:2
And the Philistines followed hard upon Saul and upon his sons; and the Philistines slew Jonathan, and Abinadab, and Melchishua, Saul’s sons.
TODAY’S TEXT:
1 Samuel 14:39.
“For, as the LORD liveth, which saveth Israel, though it be in Jonathan my son, he shall surely die. But there was not a man among all the people that answered him.”
1 Samuel 14:44.
“And Saul answered, God do so and more also: for thou shalt surely die, Jonathan.”
TODAY’S MESSAGE:
In the opening of this series, we explained that there is a force accompany your declaration. That is to say, what you uttered in ignorance or consciously, will surely come to pass, if not immediately, the future will tell or revealed it. Yesterday, Jacob ignorantly declared death judgement on Rachel and she died untimely.
Meanwhile, Saul on his own part make an executive order or proclamation that no one should eat not drink till evening. (1 Samuel 14:24) And Jonathan not aware of his father’s vow concerning food, tasted honey from the honeycomb. (1 Samuel 14:27)
However, Saul solemnly vow that, even if it Jonathan his son that eat anything, he must be put to death. And when he had that Jonathan ate honey, he further announce that he will die. Beloved, it is not the prayers of any good parents, that his or her child should die before them or with them. It is a calamity.
In conclusion, our memory verse, reveals the results of the wrong use of words by Saul. Unfortunately, three of his sons died with him in a day. What a tragedy? May you not ruin your future and that of your children in Jesus name. Amen.
God bless you.
Till He returns or call you home, do remain in the power of His love.
*Jesus is coming very soon.*
Be prepared.
