THEME:
Your Tongue And You. II.

MEMORY VERSE:
“How long shall they utter and speak hard things? and all the workers of iniquity boast themselves?”
Psalms 94:4.

TODAY’S TEXT:
James 3:4-5.
“Behold also the ships, which though they be so great, and are driven of fierce winds, yet are they turned about with a very small helm, whithersoever the governor listeth. Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth!”

TODAY’S MESSAGE:
In the last part of this series, we saw that tongue has a lot to say about an individual. And that, if any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man.
However, our today’s text liken the whole body to a large Ship at sea, which is driven or control by a small wheel. That as small as the tongue is, it drives and control the whole human body.
Meanwhile, our memory verse reminds us, that as many that speak to destroy others, to confuse others, curse or speak negatively about their neighbors, are all workers of iniquities.
Conclusively, although the tongue is little in size, it has the capacity of taking the whole body forward or backward, up or down as the case may be. Beloved, let’s not forget that all workers of iniquities, has no place with God in Eternity, but an unending punishment.

God bless you.
Till He returns or call you home, do remain in the power of His love.
*Jesus is coming very soon.*
Be prepared.

DAILY CONFESSION:
I will not boast of any ability but of God’s grace and strength.

PRAYER POINT:
Father Lord, help me not to boast of any ability of mine. But always speak of your grace and strength available for me in Christ Jesus in Jesus name. Amen.

Yours in Christ,
B. J. Folorunsho.

THEME: Your Tongue And You. I.

MEMORY VERSE:
“Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.”
Ephesians 4:29.

TODAY’S TEXT:
James 3:2-3.
“For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body. Behold, we put bits in the horses’ mouths, that they may obey us; and we turn about their whole body.”

TODAY’S MESSAGE:
There are many ways to tell of a man or a woman maturity, background, exposure, believe, pedigree and wisdom. One of which is his or her speech, do know that what comes out of a man’s mouth speak a great deal about him.
Meanwhile, our today’s text gives a hint on who a perfect man or woman is saying: _” *If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man,* and able also to bridle the whole body.”_ This connotes that, ability to mind our speech is a step in being perfect.
However, Apostle Paul through our memory verse, admonish us as followers of Christ, to ensure that no corrupt communication proceed out of our mouths, but good words for the edification of souls and to minister grace unto the listener.
Finally, how often do you consciously examine what comes out of your mouth? Does it edify lives, minister grace to the hearer or glorified God? Don’t forget that, what comes out of your mouth, says a lot about you. Therefore, consciously examine your heart on daily basis, for out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks (Mathew 12:34).

God bless you.
Till He returns or call you home, do remain in the power of His love.
*Jesus is coming very soon.*
Be prepared.

DAILY CONFESSION:
My tongue will not betray be. I will speak to edify and minister grace to the glory of God.

PRAYER POINT:
Father in heaven, help me to be perfect in my words. Let my words, oh Lord, be seasoned with grace, peace and mercy, that your Holy name be glorified wherever I find myself in Jesus name. Amen.

Yours in Christ,

MEMORY VERSE:
“Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.”
Matthew 5:7.

TODAY’S TEXT:
Luke 6:35-37.
“But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil. Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful. Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven.”

TODAY’S MESSAGE:
In the last part of this series, we saw that forgiveness, has to come from the depth of our hearts, not just by saying, *”You are forgiven, but must be as a result of spring of mercy rising from the depth of your hearts to refresh a dried and dying soul with grace and joy.”*
Meanwhile, our today’s text admonishes us to love our enemies, to do good all people, to be merciful as our God is merciful. Judge not, condemn not, forgive and you shall be forgiven.
Furthermore, the gospel of John chapter 3 verse 16, expressly declared the unfathomable love of God to mankind, by giving His only begotten Son to redeem human race. Beloved in Christ, this feat came to be through God’s mercy by forgiveness of our sins, while we were yet sinner.
Conclusively, Jesus, the son of God has made a full and complete payment for our sins. Jesus offered to be a sacrifice that the wrath of God may be appeased, and the punishment we deserve, Jesus bears for us all. So, as children of the merciful Father, let’s show mercy and we shall receive mercy also.

God bless you.
Till He returns or call you home, do remain in the power of His love.
*Jesus is coming very soon.*

THEME:
Forgive To Be Forgiven. II.

MEMORY VERSE:
So likewise shall my heavenly Father do also unto you, if ye from your hearts forgive not every one his brother their trespasses.
Matthew 18:35.

TODAY’S TEXT:
Matthew 6:14-15.
“For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also you: But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.”

TODAY’S MESSAGE:
In the last part of this series, we observed that forgiveness is the ability to pardon, to waive any negative feeling or desire for punishment of an offender. And that God desires forgiveness of all sins always and at all times.
However, our today’s text revealed that, if we forgive men, women, young or old their sins, God’s mercy will locate us also.
Furthermore, our memory verse, expose us to an important aspect of pardon, which brings about genuine forgiveness of sins, this is the forgiveness from the bottom of our hearts.
Finally, when you do this, you will forgive and forget that it ever happened. And in that measure, your father in heaven will forgive you also. May you have the grace to forgive and forget all offenses against you in Jesus name. Amen.

God bless you.
Till He returns or call you home, do remain in the power of His love.
*Jesus is coming very soon.*
Be prepared.

DAILY CONFESSION:
By the grace of God, I will forgive and forget all trespasses against me.

PRAYER POINT:

Forgive To Be Forgiven. I.

MEMORY VERSE:
“And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.”
Matthew 6:12.

TODAY’S TEXT:
Matthew 18:21-22.
“Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times? Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven.”

TODAY’S MESSAGE:
A question was once asked about acceptable number of times to forgive our offenders and the person that asked the question was so quick to proffer or suggest answer to the seemingly puzzle, he presented by saying, _”Seven times,”_ but Jesus replied by saying; *”Until Seventy times Seven.”* Invariably, Jesus instructs us to forgive our offenders always irrespective of the crime committed or number of time involved.
Furthermore, the scripture in Mathew chapter 6 verse 12 present to us the condition to receive forgiveness our own sins from God. It is, *”Forgive me oh God, as I forgive those that offends me”* and in other words, we are saying, *”Don’t forgive me, if I don’t forgive others,* simple as that.
Finally, to forgive is to pardon, to waive any negative feeling or desire for punishment. May you have the grace to forgive and be forgiven in Jesus name. Amen.

God bless you.
Till He returns or call you home, do remain in the power of His love.
*Jesus is coming very soon.*
