THEME: Wine Is A Mocker. IV.

MEMORY VERSE:
“Not given to wine, no striker, not greedy of filthy lucre; but patient, not a brawler, not covetous.”
1 Timothy 3:3.

TODAY’S TEXT:
Luke 1:15.
“For he shall be great in the sight of the Lord, and shall drink neither wine nor strong drink; and he shall be filled with the Holy Ghost, even from his mother’s womb.”

TODAY’S MESSAGE:
Yesterday, I shared a story of my old high school colleague; who was drunk, helpless, degraded and abused by his colleagues all because, he was careless with mixed wine. Thank God the colleagues were not devilish, his case would have been more pathetic and gory.
As Christians, our today’s text point our attention to some of the criteria for greatness, one of which is not given to wine or strong drink, rather to be filled with the Holy Ghost and power.
However, our memory verse declared that a man or a woman, who desire greatness, must not be given to wine. For a drunken man, can strike under the influence of wine, can be greedy, brawler and covetous of others properties or women.
Conclusively, Wine is a mocker, dearly beloved, don’t be mocked by it or by anything. Do know that, there is no crime in enjoying oneself. But, if you want to entertain yourself, do it with caution. For without caution, your enjoyment can lead to destruction of one’s divine purpose. May you not be mocked in Jesus name. Amen.

God bless you. *Jesus is coming very soon.* Be prepared.

DAILY CONFESSION:
By the help of God, I will attain greatness.

PRAYER POINT:
Father, you purpose for my life is to attain greatness. Help me Lord, not to go against your plans for my life in Jesus name. Amen.

Wine Is A Mocker. III.

THE NARROW WAY DAILY DIGEST.

DATE: Monday, June 10, 2019.

THEME: Wine Is A Mocker. III.

MEMORY VERSE:
“And they made their father drink wine that night: and the firstborn went in, and lay with her father; and he perceived not when she lay down, nor when she arose.”
Genesis 19:33.

TODAY’S TEXT:
Deuteronomy 32:32-33.
“For their vine is of the vine of Sodom, and of the fields of Gomorrah: their grapes are grapes of gall, their clusters are bitter: Their wine is the poison of dragons, and the cruel venom of asps.”

TODAY’S MESSAGE:
In the last part of this series, we observed that it is not for a Christian to indulge in alcohol, for it bites like serpent and stings like an adder, a poison to the soul. And that mixed wine turn your eyes to strange women, strange things and makes the heart to utter perversed things against God and man.
However, I will like to share the story of some old high school friends. It was on January 1st, year 2000. A group of high school graduates from a village in Southwestern Nigeria gathered for a reunion party. At the party, were set big plastic kettles on tables filled with mixture of Palmwine, ogogoro (Dry gin), Sprite, Rum and the likes.
Beloved, before you know it, a good number of them were drunk and started to fight with stainless steel cups, due to this, the party ended abruptly. After which, two friends that were not drunk, decided to take their drunk friend to his father’s house.
Meanwhile, before they could get to his place, he fell into drainages like three to four times, both dry and wet ones, and each time, he was able to rest his body, either in the drainages, or against the wall, he will say, ‘I have reach my house,’ with some jargon and at that instant dose off.
Notwithstanding, at about two hundred metres to his house, in the dead of the night, he was on the floor again snoring, his friends loosed his belt, drag his pants down and began to play with his manhood, passing it to one another for a period of time, catching their 21st millennium fun, later they dressed him up again. But when he was asked later in the day, he could not remember. What of if they harm him?
In conclusion, many had lose their lives, been hit by cars, or falling on sharp objects and so on. A word is enough for the wise. I pray that, for as many that are still indulge in alcohol, be set free from it grip today in Jesus name. Amen.

God bless you. *Jesus is coming very soon.* Be prepared.

DAILY CONFESSION:
I refuse to be destroy by any negative addiction.

PRAYER POINT:
Father, I look unto you, help me. Oh Lord, give me grace to overcome and be free from any negative addictions in Jesus name. Amen.

Wine Is A Mocker. II.

THE NARROW WAY DAILY DIGEST.

DATE: Saturday, June 8, 2019.

THEME: Wine Is A Mocker. II.

MEMORY VERSE:
“Thine eyes shall behold strange women, and thine heart shall utter perverse things.”
Proverbs 23:33.

TODAY’S TEXT:
Proverbs 23:29-32.
“Who hath woe? who hath sorrow? who hath contentions? who hath babbling? who hath wounds without cause? who hath redness of eyes? They that tarry long at the wine; they that go to seek mixed wine.
Look not thou upon the wine when it is red, when it giveth his colour in the cup, when it moveth itself aright. At the last it biteth like a serpent, and stingeth like an adder.”

TODAY’S MESSAGE:
Yesterday, we considered a drunk, as a man or woman who is not wise. We also established the reasons while a king should not drink wine. It is, so as not to forget the law and pervert judgement, that the strong drink is to him,who is ready to perish and for those with heavy hearts.
Nevertheless, our today’s text clearly described who a drunk is and states some negative effects of wine, it says; *”Who hath woe? who hath sorrow? who hath contentions? who hath babbling? who hath wounds without cause? who hath redness of eyes?* However, the following are the characteristics of a drunk: They are woes, sorrow, contention, blabbing, wounds without cause, redness of eyes and so on.
Furthermore, our text further give answer to the question raised earlier saying; it is, _They that tarry long at the wine; they that go to seek mixed wine._ As an unbeliever, if you say your Bible permit you to drink, do you tarry or mixed all kinds of wine? If yes, beware so as not to perish in no time with wine.
More so, the scripture says: “Look not thou upon the wine when it is red, when it giveth his colour in the cup, when it moveth itself aright. *At the last it biteth like a serpent, and stingeth like an adder.”* The truth of the matter is that, wine bite like a serpent and sting like an adder. Invariably, it passes poison into your system and reduce your life span.
Conclusively, a true child of God, will not indulge in alcoholic drinks. Knowing full well that, when you are intoxicated with wine, it distort your vision, and makes perverse utterance to flow from your heart through your month. Most importantly, it can land you into trouble. May you and I not enter into trouble in Jesus name. Amen.

God bless you. *Jesus is coming very soon.* Be prepared.

DAILY CONFESSION:
I will not be filled with wine. But with the Holy Ghost and power.

PRAYER POINT:
Father, with wine in me, I will be mocked. Fill me Lord, with Holy Ghost and power and I will not be mocked in Jesus name. Amen.

Wine Is A Mocker. I.

THE NARROW WAY DAILY DIGEST.

DATE: Friday, June 7, 2019.

THEME: Wine Is A Mocker. I.

MEMORY VERSE:
“Wine is a mocker, strong drink is raging: and whosoever is deceived thereby is not wise.”
Proverbs 20:1.

TODAY’S TEXT:
Proverbs 31:4-6.
“It is not for kings, O Lemuel, it is not for kings to drink wine; nor for princes strong drink: Lest they drink, and forget the law, and pervert the judgment of any of the afflicted. Give strong drink unto him that is ready to perish, and wine unto those that be of heavy hearts.”

TODAY’S MESSAGE:
To start with, today message may not be for a genuine believer, but can serves as a tool of counsel for those that are involved in alcoholic escapades. Meanwhile, what is wine? The Cambridge Advance Learner’s Dictionary, described wine thus: Wine is an alcoholic drink which is usually made from grapes, but can also be made from other fruits or flowers. It is made by fermenting the fruit with water and sugar.
However, the world all over, wine is use for celebration: be it for wedding, house warming, naming and the likes. Nevertheless, our today’s text present us a worthwhile counsel given to King Lemuel by her mother on wine, saying that, kings should abstain from wine, in order not to forget the law, and pervert the judgment of any of the afflicted. And she further advice that the king should rather give strong drink unto him that is ready to perish and so on.
Furthermore, memory verse expressly confirmed that, _”Wine is a mocker and whosoever is deceived by it is not wise.”_ The truth is that, when you see a drunk, you need no one to tell you that, wine is a mocker and a drink cherish by the fool.
In conclusion, beloved in Christ Jesus, one may say I will drink moderately, but do you think, it will be easy to stop, once started? Think wisely, a word is enough for the wise. May I not be enticed by the smell and colour of the wine in Jesus name. Amen.

God bless you. *Jesus is coming very soon.* Be prepared.

DAILY CONFESSION:
I will not be fooled or mocked by wine.

PRAYER POINT:
Father, help me not to give in to pressure to go into wine. May I remain focus on the power of the Holy Spirit all the days of my life in Jesus name. Amen.

God Is Good.

John 3:16-18 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
