James 3:5-6.
“Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth! And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell.”

TODAY’S MESSAGE:
A story was told of a trader, who always asked her son, to deliver two eggs to a consistent customer; who buys two eggs daily. On a fateful day, the little boy was reluctant to deliver the eggs, for he was irritated by the man’s little daily purchase. But the mother encouraged him to go and said, “You can never tell, what that little purchase is to this family.”
Nevertheless, the boy in order not to be ask to deliver eggs to this man again, decided on his way, to break the eggs. And when the man inquire about the broken eggs, the young boy, abused the man and ask him not to disturb them again, and as he turned to go, the as usual gave him the daily package for his mother. He grumbly collected it.
And on getting home, “How did it go?” the mother asked. “I am sure, the man will not be buying with us again.” He replied.
“Tell me, what happened to him?” The mother asked out of curiousity. “I broke the eggs, and I told him to stop bothering you with his little purchase of two eggs everyday. He answered.
Meanwhile, the mother was perplexed, confused and angry by the time he finished speaking. However, with a motherly love and little smile on her face, the mother said, “I want you to know that, if not for that man, you wouldn’t be here today. If not for him, I will not be in business anymore. He was the one, who stood by me to defend me some years ago, when I was attacked by the bandits with you in my womb. The bandits wanted to use me for ritual, they killed your father, but this man fought them with all his strength and he prevailed. Don’t forget, it came with a price that conditioned him to that shape, and everyday he pays for your feeding from his allowance, and your taking eggs to him, is only to get your daily allowance from him. By the time, the mother finished talking, the boy was speechless and surprised by the level of this genuine love towards him, he was ashamed of himself, for his insensitive to the man condition. The thought of what the man had done for his family, love and care without knowing them from Adam overflow in his little heart.
In like manner, Jesus paid the price for our redemption, and he daily supplies our needs, and ask grateful people, we must meditate on his love daily.
While, our memory verse, expressly talk about our reaction to life differently. And what you don’t appreciate, will depreciate before you know it.
Finally, our today’s text warn us about the tongue, though small, it can set our whole body on fire. And words, when spoken is like a broken egg, that cannot be reassembled. May God bless us with grace to tame our tongues now and always in Jesus name. Amen.

God bless you. Jesus is coming very soon. Be prepared.
