The Root Of The Righteous. II.

THE NARROW WAY DAILY DIGEST

DATE:
Tuesday, April 28, 2020.

THEME:
The Root Of The Righteous. II.

MEMORY VERSE:
“For if the firstfruit be holy, the lump is also holy: and if the root be holy, so are the branches.”
Romans 11:16.

TODAY’S TEXT:
Romans 11:17-18.
“And if some of the branches be broken off, and thou, being a wild olive tree, wert graffed in among them, and with them partakest of the root and fatness of the olive tree; Boast not against the branches. But if thou boast, thou bearest not the root, but the root thee.”

TODAY’S MESSAGE:
Yesterday, we expressly reestablished the fact that Jesus is the Root of the righteous, in whom the righteous receive grace and strength to grow and forge ahead in the king’s business. You and I received grace, mercy and justification from God through Jesus Christ.
However, as the fruitful branch we are, it is not by our efforts, we must not be boastful or rate ourselves above our contemporaries, who are yet to take root in Jesus Christ. For at the appointed time, they shall be taking in also.
Furthermore, there is no boasting in Christ Jesus, the root of the righteous. And if we boast of our achievements, we are not of the root. For we are not the one holding up the root, but the root holds us. Do know that we can do nothing on our own, outside Jesus Christ.
In conclusion, our memory verse reveals that; *”For if the firstfruit be holy, the lump is also holy: and if the root be holy, so are the branches.”* This connotes that, if we are truly of the holy Root, we are holy also. Do remain connected to Christ, the Root Of righteousness in Jesus name. Amen.

God bless you.
Till He returns or call you home, do remain in the power of His love.
*Jesus is coming very soon.*
Be prepared.

DAILY CONFESSION:
I will not be disconnected from Christ Jesus, my Root and my strength.

PRAYER POINT:
Ever Faithful Father, You never stop in blessing us with grace and mercy. Oh Lord, help me to remain firmly rooted in you at all times. And may earthly desires, not cut me off from my heavenly rewards in Jesus name. Amen.

Yours in Christ,
B. J. Folorunsho.
