  • The Rush Hour.

    THE NARROW WAY DAILY DIGEST

    DATE: Thursday, September 26, 2019.

    THEME: The Rush Hour.

    MEMORY VERSE:
“But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.”
    Mark 13:32.

    TODAY’S TEXT:
    Luke 12:39-40.
“And this know, that if the goodman of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched, and not have suffered his house to be broken through. Be ye therefore ready also: for the Son of man cometh at an hour when ye think not.”

    TODAY’S MESSAGE:
Ecclesiastes chapter 3:1-8 talks about time by allotting time for all human situations. This shows that, It is appointed to everything that has beginning, to also have ending, in order for freshness or new things to evolve.
Rush hour is that hour, that demands a great haste. A time in which you must be up and doing on your feet, active and at alert. A common experience in urban areas, and it is one of the hustle and bustle of the city life every one crave for, so as to make ends meet. A time so peculiar to every heavenly minded believer, of the imminent return of our heavenly Bridegroom: Jesus, the Savior of the world.
Moreover, our today’s text admonish us to be prepared at all times. As a house owner, would not know the hour, burglars will strike. Hence, he would have employ formidable hands to combat. So we must get together all our strength to be ready for the rapture; whether general or individual departure.
Furthermore, people rush at this hour, in order to make a social or official appointments, some to the place of their daily bread. Beloved in Christ Jesus, this hour we are into, is the very rush hour. The hour you and I, are to ensure we make the appointment with our Maker, whenever He beckon on us.
Conclusively, the scripture says; _”Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin…”_ (Romans 6:11) Do ensure you are dead to sin, so as not to miss the divine moment. May you not miss out on the day of gathering of the saints in Jesus name. Amen.

    God bless you.
    *Jesus is coming very soon.*
    Be prepared.

    DAILY CONFESSION:
By God’s grace and mercy. I will not miss rapture.

    PRAYER POINT:
Father, thank you for your mercy, grace and love over my life. Please Lord, in this perilous time, help me to be faithful and ready in righteousness till the end in Jesus name. Amen.

  • Good Is Consuming Fire. II.

    THE NARROW WAY DAILY DIGEST

    DATE: Monday, September 23, 2019.

THEME: God Is Consuming Fire. II.

    MEMORY VERSE:
“For the LORD thy God is a consuming fire, even a jealous God.”
    Deuteronomy 4:24.

    TODAY’S TEXT:
    Genesis 19:24-25.
“Then the LORD rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the LORD out of heaven. And he overthrew those cities, and all the plain, and all the inhabitants of the cities, and that which grew upon the ground.”

    TODAY’S MESSAGE:
In the opening of this series, we considered human beings as the most privileged creature, made in the image and the likeness God. But lose his authority over all due to sin, man was restored and forgiven through Jesus sacrifice on the Cross of Calvary. Let’s not forget that, as many that decides to take action or to work against God, will meet with the consuming wrath of God.
However, fire has various qualities such as to renew or modify, destroy or to consume anything that cross it’s path. The more reason, our today’s text reaffirms that our God is Almighty, great and mighty in battle; who destroys the adversaries of His people, with all their plans and possessions.
Meanwhile, He wiped the wicked generation of Noah’s time with flood, after which cities were consumed by fire with all it’s inhabitants. As it was the case of Sodom and Gomorrah, that He rained brimstones and fire on them.
Furthermore, Nineveh was set for destruction but the good news was, the leadership of Nineveh proclaimed a national repentance with fasting.
In conclusion, repentance and recommitment to God, is the solution to avoids getting consumed by the consuming fire of God. God is not happy by the death of a sinner, but to repent and live. (Ezekiel 18:32) May you receive grace, to cooperate with the grace of God upon your life in Jesus name. Amen.

    God bless you.
    *Jesus is coming soon.*
    Be prepared.

    DAILY CONFESSION:
By grace, I take my place in Christ Jesus, I will not be consumed by the wrath of God.

    PRAYER POINT:
Father, you are the Lord of life. Give me grace at all time, to choose life and not death. May I not be condemned or put to divined judgement in Jesus name. Amen.

    Yours in Christ,
    B. J. Folorunsho.

    DATE: Sunday, September 15, 2019.

THEME: God Is A Consuming Fire. I.

    MEMORY VERSE:
“For our God is a consuming fire.”
    Hebrews 12:29.

    TODAY’S TEXT:
    Hebrews 12:27-28.
“And this word, Yet once more, signifieth the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain. Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear.”

    TODAY’S MESSAGE:
As Christians, we are the most privileged creature made by God. The only one created in the likeness and image of God. When sin set in and Mankind got lost, God in His goodness paid the price for our return to His fold, through giving His only begotten son, as a sacrifice for our redemption.
Meanwhile, we are redeemed into God kingdom, with all the full benefits of sonship. And do know that, we are not just restore to any man-made god, but to the living God. Despite, God’s magnanimous acts towards man in redemption, our memory verse still says, “He is a consuming fire.”Do know that, God is not just a fire, or like a fire or like a consuming fire, rather He is a consuming fire.
However, let’s consider this thought. Are you standing or working against God in anyway? For we serve a powerful living God, which should not be toiled with.
Nevertheless, our today’s text enjoin us to note those things, that are shaken before they are remove. The question is, Is your faith shaken? Are you sure you are standing in God? Check yourself, as I check myself also, for 1 Corinthians 10:12 declared, *”Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.”*
Finally, for it is important, we do a daily thorough self cross examination and see for ourselves. It maybe through your actions, inactions, appearance, eating, character, and what a view. Please, ensure you desist from any negative acts now, for tomorrow maybe too late. The Bible says in Psalms 97:3; *”A fire goeth before him, and burneth up his enemies round about.”* This is talking about God, let’s not forget Sodom and Gomorrah experience. May you not be consume in God’s wrath in Jesus name. Amen.

    God bless you.
    *Jesus is coming soon.*
    Be prepared.

    DAILY CONFESSION:
I will not fall away from grace, by God’s grace.

    PRAYER POINT:
Father, keep me close to your heart. Help me Lord, to keep to your instructions and may I not work against you in anyway in Jesus name. Amen.

    Yours in Christ,
    B. J. Folorunsho.

    MEMORY VERSE:
“In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.”

    TODAY’S TEXT:

“Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous. He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.”

    TODAY’S MESSAGE:
The Holy Spirit through our today’s text, sounds a great warning saying; Be Not Deceived. To be deceived is fall into deception. What is deception? It is an instance of actions or schemes fabricated to mislead and delude someone into error, believing a lie or inaccuracy.
Deception is one of the major mechanism employed Satan to derailed Christians. Quickly, let’s recall the scenario of Genesis 3:1-7; where Satan cleverly deceived Adam and Eve to act against God’s giving instructions. It got started by simple dialogue, which to the negative action.
More so, our text further affirms it that, he that commit sin, is of the devil. For he is the father of all sinners. And most importantly, Jesus; [The Way, the Truth and the Life] (John 14:6) the son of God was made manifest, in order to destroy the works of devil.
In conclusion, through our memory verse, the Holy Ghost distinguished between God’s children and the children of the devil, stating that whosoever do not practise righteousness is not of God, and anyone who hates his brethren. But man or woman that love and live in righteousness is of God. May you not be deceived in Jesus name. Amen.

    THE NARROW WAY DAILY DIGEST

    THEME: Victory In Christ Jesus.

    MEMORY VERSE:
“But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.”
    1 Corinthians 15:57.

    TODAY’S TEXT:
    1 Corinthians 15:54-56.
“So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.”

    TODAY’S MESSAGE:
Death is the final part or end of something. The non activeness of life and all living processes; the end of an organism’s existence as an entity independent from its environment and its return to an inert, nonliving state. Death can also said to be the life’s time keeper or the agent of hell, who sends souls out of the world to the grave.
More so, the scripture says; “And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment.” (Hebrews 9:27) The question is, after death what kind of judgement awaits you or me? The judgement of the saints or that of the wicked? Will my work on earth stand the heavenly test of fire? (1 Corinthians 3:15)
Meanwhile, as believers, we will triumph over grave and death. For we shall be bold as Lion, knocking down the power of the enemies (Satan, demons, grave and death) in Victory.
However, do know that sin is capable of robbing you of this victory. And we must ensure that, on daily basis, we do our best to remain in Victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
