TODAY’S MESSAGE:
The Holy Spirit through our today’s text, sounds a great warning saying; Be Not Deceived. To be deceived is fall into deception. What is deception? It is an instance of actions or schemes fabricated to mislead and delude someone into error, believing a lie or inaccuracy.
Deception is one of the major mechanism employed Satan to derailed Christians. Quickly, let’s recall the scenario of Genesis 3:1-7; where Satan cleverly deceived Adam and Eve to act against God’s giving instructions. It got started by simple dialogue, which to the negative action.
More so, our text further affirms it that, he that commit sin, is of the devil. For he is the father of all sinners. And most importantly, Jesus; [The Way, the Truth and the Life] (John 14:6) the son of God was made manifest, in order to destroy the works of devil.
In conclusion, through our memory verse, the Holy Ghost distinguished between God’s children and the children of the devil, stating that whosoever do not practise righteousness is not of God, and anyone who hates his brethren.
