THE NARROW WAY DAILY DIGEST

DATE:
Tuesday, March 17, 2020.

THEME:
Love Not The World. II.

MEMORY VERSE:
“For Demas hath forsaken me, having loved this present world, and is departed unto Thessalonica…”
2 Timothy 4:10.

TODAY’S TEXT:
James 4:4.
“Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.”

TODAY’S MESSAGE:
Yesterday, we opened this series knowing full well that, “Loving the world, portends an enmity with God.” Therefore, what is loving the world? Simply put, it is giving in to the world impositions, that are against God’s demands. 1 John 2:16 caption it thus: *”For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.”*
Then, let’s consider the points from the above text, one after the other, *”The lust of the flesh,”* It is to strongly desire extraordinary pleasure for the body, by given the flesh total freedom to act, as it pleases. While *”Lust of the eyes,* is to freely allow the eyes, to wander after all that passes, with the intention to acquire them all.
Furthermore, *”The pride of life.”* It is to exalt oneself, all because of life’s successes and achievements, forgetting the availability of difference in God’s grace. And through boasting and arrogance against the less privilege and God.
Finally, beloved in Christ Jesus, let’s not forget that, we are bought with a precious price. And we must not forget that, friendship with the world is an enmity with God, who paid the ultimate price of our redemption.

God bless you.
Till He returns or call you home, do remain in the power of His love.
*Jesus is coming very soon.*
Be prepared.

DAILY CONFESSION:
I will not forsake my calling. I will not be an enemy of God.

PRAYER POINT:
Righteous Father, you are good to all and gracious in mercy. Oh Lord, may I not look back on my calling. Help me Lord, to focus on You and Your will for my life in Jesus name. Amen.

Yours in Christ,
B. J. Folorunsho.
