THE NARROW WAY DAILY DIGEST

DATE: Saturday, August 31, 2019.

THEME: Oh! Carnal Mind.

MEMORY VERSE:
“And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.”
Galatians 5:24.

TODAY’S TEXT:
Galatians 5:19-21.
“Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.”

TODAY’S MESSAGE:
As humans, we all have our general and individual desire and aspirations in life, irrespective of our class or status. Well, we often go all out, with everything within our capacity to achieve this singular glory of ours.
Meanwhile, not minding what it will take to achieve the set task, goal or the consequence of our actions. For, when we are filled with the decision to fulfil the lust of the flesh, at this point, the spirit man is in comatose or silent.
However, our today’s text highlight some of the work of the flesh, such as: _Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like._
Furthermore, a mind filled with the above, is a carnal mind, an enemy of divine order. A mind sold into reprobate, doing what is not convenient. Oh! Carnal mind, filled with bodily gratification and pleasure. It kicks against divine instruction in all strata. Beloved, how is your mind? And how is my mind? Is the content of our hearts and minds, in line with God’s standard? Do check it out.
In conclusion, Apostle Paul in Galatians 5:16 declared: *”This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.”* As humans, there is no way, flesh will not strike, but when we walk in the spirit, we will not fulfill the lust of the flesh, as admonished by Paul. Therefore, let’s cross examine our lives daily, and we shall not be judged at last in heaven in Jesus name. Amen.

God bless you.
*Jesus is coming soon.*
Be prepared.

DAILY CONFESSION:
I will not be giving to a reprobate mind.

TODAY’S MESSAGE:
In Apostle Paul’s letters to the Romans, he emphasized on the spirituality of the people of Rome at his time. For the peculiarity of being born again and the activeness in the Apostolic faith was on a ground level. This propelled him to propose a visitation in order to impart unto them some spiritual gift, that they may be established.
Meanwhile, to be established is not only by the numbers of Estates you build, fleets of cars in your garage or group of companies you chaired. But rather, the quality of your spiritual gifts and how you exercise these gifts to the glory of God and benefit of mankind.
However, in our today’s text, Paul reminds us, as he wrote to the Romans about the consequence of not being spiritually minded, which he emphatically says is death. May you and I not die a spiritual death in Jesus name. Amen.
Furthermore, Paul revealed that to be spiritually Minded, is live and peace. For carnal mind is enmity against God, it is never in subjection to the law of God and it’s end is destruction.
Conclusively, John 3:6 declared thus:
*”That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.”* Beloved, God is spirit and not flesh, although God of all flesh. But, they that are rule by the flesh cannot please God, that is spirit. Therefore, sow greatly to your spirit-man and you shall reap peace and eternal life at last. May the spirit of God, furnish you with spiritual gifts and strength to do God’s will in Jesus name. Amen.

Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth.”

TODAY’S MESSAGE:
Many a times, when we don’t examine our day to day activities in the light of the word of God, we tend to discover later, why our labour or efforts resulted in futility.
Meanwhile, while making it known, we receive commendations and human applause for a job well-done accompany with awards, trophies and countless titles from all angles of life. Although, all these boost societal status and recognition, but it accounts for little or nothing in eternity. And if one leaves the earth without holiness, all earthly efforts lost.

Numbers 16:5
“And he spake unto Korah and unto all his company, saying, Even to morrow the LORD will shew who are his, and who is holy; and will cause him to come near unto him: even him whom he hath chosen will he cause to come near unto him.”

TODAY’S MESSAGE:
Yesterday, we open this series with one of the criteria that qualifies a vessel for been chosen for the Lord’s usage. We highlighted the desire to do God’s will as a credit, in order to be used by God. For man looks at appearance, but God looks at the content of the heart: which is the desire to do God’s will.
Today, we want to look at another criterion for divine use. However, this our today’s text portrait in a clear term saying: “… *The LORD will shew who are His, _and Who is_ HOLY ;* and *will cause him to come near unto Him: even him whom He hath chosen will He cause to come near unto Him.”* it is obvious from this text, that to be holy or holiness, is of great important in order to be drawn, chosen and used by God.
Furthermore, our memory verse says of you and me thus: “For thou art _an holy people unto the LORD thy God: the LORD thy God_ hath chosen thee to be a special people unto himself, above all people that are upon the face of the earth.” Similarly, you are special to your maker and no other person can know you better.
Finally, one of the things that makes you different from others used or not used is holiness. God is holy and his chosen must be like Him. Are you holy? For the scripture says; *”Be ye holy, for I am holy.”* (Leviticus 11:44) May we remain holy and His chosen in Jesus name. Amen.

God bless you.
*Jesus is coming very soon.* Be prepared.

The lord’s chosen. I.

THE NARROW WAY DAILY DIGEST.

DATE: Thursday, August 1, 2019.

THEME: The Lord’s Chosen. I.

MEMORY VERSE:
“But the LORD said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart.”
1 Samuel 16:7.

TODAY’S TEXT:
Acts 13:21-22.
“And afterward they desired a king: and God gave unto them Saul the son of Cis, a man of the tribe of Benjamin, by the space of forty years. And when he had removed him, he raised up unto them David to be their king; to whom also he gave testimony, and said, I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after mine own heart, which shall fulfil all my will.”

TODAY’S MESSAGE:
Humanly speaking when a man or a woman possesses a unique, special or extraordinary fixtures, that is obvious for eyes to see, this makes he or she to stand out, and become a point of attraction wherever they go. Although, it is said that, ‘Beauty is in the eyes of beholder,’ what appeal to one, may distract the others. And do know that it is what you carry that will showcase you to the world.
Similarly, you may have all the qualities of men, and men sings your praise, but if you don’t have little of heavenly qualifications, you will only remain a men pleaser and what draws men to you, and when its no longer there, men will dislodge you.
Meanwhile, when the Israelite ask for a king against God’s timing, Saul was given, he was tall, huge, handsome and fair in complexion. And when he was disposed, the prophet considered a man with similar appearance, but God rejected him, for his heart isn’t with the lord.
Conclusively, although appearance maybe appealing but the content of the heart, is what takes a man further in destiny. However, God testifies of David, as a man after his own heart, who will do His will. This implies that to be the Lord’s chosen, you must be a man or woman ready to do His will. May you continue to do His will in Jesus name. Amen.

God bless you.
*Jesus is coming very soon.* Be prepared.

DAILY CONFESSION:
I will remain in the will of the Lord God, and I will continue to do his will all my life.

PRAYER POINT:
Father, help me to remain your chosen and in your will for my life. Please Lord, give me the grace to do your will at all times in Jesus name. Amen.
