THE NARROW WAY DAILY DIGEST.

DATE: Sunday January 20, 2019.

THEME: EQUIPPED BUT NOT ACTIVE. IV.

MEMORY VERSE:
“Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.”
James 2:24.

TODAY’S TEXT:
James 2:19-22.
“Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble. But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead? Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar? Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect?”

TODAY’S MESSAGE:
In the last part of this series, we observed that it is possible, a christian proclaim he or she believes in God through faith in Christ Jesus, but failed to actively exercise the gifts and grace therein.
Meanwhile, the opening of our text affirmed that, ” it a good thing to believe, but that we should not forget that Satan also believe and tremble before God. The scripture further says of Abraham’s faith been justified by his work, when he had offered Isaac to God in obedience to God’s command.
Furthermore, though he was at his old age, but as a sign of his firm believe in God’s ability, he gave him up. Beloved, your faith and work must married each other, before you can fully access your divine generational blessings.
Conclusively, our memory verse expressly stated that; “Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.” That is, faith is good, it is our believe in God. And it comes as a result of our knowledge of God. And God equipped us with faith, inorder to please HIM. (Hebrew 11: 6) But without putting it in action, we are merely equipped but not active or useful. May you receive grace to put your faith in action now and always in Jesus name. Amen.

God bless you. Jesus is coming very soon. Be prepared.

DAILY CONFESSION:
Faith without works, is dead.

PRAYER POINT:
Father, let my faith not be dead due to my inactions. Help me to put my faith to action, that I may work alongside with my faith for a greater rewards, in Jesus name. Amen
