    THE NARROW WAY DAILY DIGEST.

    DATE: Saturday, August 3, 2019.

    THEME: The Lord’s Chosen. II.

    MEMORY VERSE:
“For thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God: the LORD thy God hath chosen thee to be a special people unto himself, above all people that are upon the face of the earth.”
    Deuteronomy 7:6.

    TODAY’S TEXT:
    Numbers 16:5
“And he spake unto Korah and unto all his company, saying, Even to morrow the LORD will shew who are his, and who is holy; and will cause him to come near unto him: even him whom he hath chosen will he cause to come near unto him.”

    TODAY’S MESSAGE:
Yesterday, we open this series with one of the criteria that qualifies a vessel for been chosen for the Lord’s usage. We highlighted the desire to do God’s will as a credit, in order to be used by God. For man looks at appearance, but God looks at the content of the heart: which is the desire to do God’s will.
Today, we want to look at another criterion for divine use. However, this our today’s text portrait in a clear term saying: “… *The LORD will shew who are His, _and Who is_ HOLY ;* and *will cause him to come near unto Him: even him whom He hath chosen will He cause to come near unto Him.”* it is obvious from this text, that to be holy or holiness, is of great important in order to be drawn, chosen and used by God.
Furthermore, our memory verse says of you and me thus: “For thou art _an holy people unto the LORD thy God: the LORD thy God_ hath chosen thee to be a special people unto himself, above all people that are upon the face of the earth.” Similarly, you are special to your maker and no other person can know you better.
Finally, one of the things that makes you different from others used or not used is holiness. God is holy and his chosen must be like Him. Are you holy? For the scripture says; *”Be ye holy, for I am holy.”* (Leviticus 11:44) May we remain holy and His chosen in Jesus name. Amen.

    God bless you.
*Jesus is coming very soon.* Be prepared.

    DAILY CONFESSION:
For holiness exalt a nation, I will be holy and be lifted up.

    PRAYER POINT:
Father, you are a holy and great in majesty. Help me Lord, to live holy all the days of my life and remain your choice in Jesus name. Amen.

  • The lord’s chosen. I.

    THE NARROW WAY DAILY DIGEST.

    DATE: Thursday, August 1, 2019.

    THEME: The Lord’s Chosen. I.

    MEMORY VERSE:
“But the LORD said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart.”
    1 Samuel 16:7.

    TODAY’S TEXT:
    Acts 13:21-22.
“And afterward they desired a king: and God gave unto them Saul the son of Cis, a man of the tribe of Benjamin, by the space of forty years. And when he had removed him, he raised up unto them David to be their king; to whom also he gave testimony, and said, I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after mine own heart, which shall fulfil all my will.”

    TODAY’S MESSAGE:
Humanly speaking when a man or a woman possesses a unique, special or extraordinary fixtures, that is obvious for eyes to see, this makes he or she to stand out, and become a point of attraction wherever they go. Although, it is said that, ‘Beauty is in the eyes of beholder,’ what appeal to one, may distract the others. And do know that it is what you carry that will showcase you to the world.
Similarly, you may have all the qualities of men, and men sings your praise, but if you don’t have little of heavenly qualifications, you will only remain a men pleaser and what draws men to you, and when its no longer there, men will dislodge you.
Meanwhile, when the Israelite ask for a king against God’s timing, Saul was given, he was tall, huge, handsome and fair in complexion. And when he was disposed, the prophet considered a man with similar appearance, but God rejected him, for his heart isn’t with the lord.
Conclusively, although appearance maybe appealing but the content of the heart, is what takes a man further in destiny. However, God testifies of David, as a man after his own heart, who will do His will. This implies that to be the Lord’s chosen, you must be a man or woman ready to do His will. May you continue to do His will in Jesus name. Amen.

    God bless you.
*Jesus is coming very soon.* Be prepared.

    DAILY CONFESSION:
I will remain in the will of the Lord God, and I will continue to do his will all my life.

    PRAYER POINT:
Father, help me to remain your chosen and in your will for my life. Please Lord, give me the grace to do your will at all times in Jesus name. Amen.

And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice.”

    TODAY’S MESSAGE:
In the last part of this series, we discussed about the good Shepherd being the one that first loved us, that chose us, care for us and draw us closer to Himself. While we enjoy His faithfulness, steadfast love and His support to the sheep are unending.
However, in our today’s memory verse, our Lord Jesus Christ reiterates, his personality as the good shepherd. He further his acclamation by saying that the good shepherd gives his life, for the sheep, a typical example is Jesus himself.
Meanwhile, our today’s text shed light on who a shepherd is, a shepherd is not hypocritical, but accomodating. He leads and shows the way, for others to follow in his footsteps. He speaks to His sheep in the best language they understand. He is considerate and supportive.
In conclusion, beloved in Christ Jesus, are you a good shepherd? In your home, workplace, neighborhood and in your place of worship? Just like Jesus. • The good shepherd. VI.

    THE NARROW WAY DAILY DIGEST.

    DATE: Saturday, July 27, 2019.

    THEME: The Good Shepherd. VI.

    MEMORY VERSE:
“Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.”
    Psalms 23:6.

    TODAY’S TEXT:
    Psalms 65:4-5.
“Blessed is the man whom thou choosest, and causest to approach unto thee, that he may dwell in thy courts: we shall be satisfied with the goodness of thy house, even of thy holy temple. By terrible things in righteousness wilt thou answer us, O God of our salvation; who art the confidence of all the ends of the earth, and of them that are afar off upon the sea.”

    TODAY’S MESSAGE:
Yesterday, we saw the good shepherd setting His sheep on the mountain top, to the admiration of their foes, and crowning them with glory and grace. As much as, the good shepherd’s anointing subdue and make foes and the mockers to submit willingly to your authority and they’re left with no choice than to watch you excel and rejoice all the way.
Meanwhile, in the opening of our today’s text the psalmist says:
*”Blessed is the man whom thou choosest, and causest to approach unto thee, that he may dwell in thy courts.* That’s, to tell us that the good shepherd, first loved us unconditionally and will do everything possible that we remain with Him.
However, many are the benefits the sheep enjoy from the good shepherd, through the grace of God; Almighty. Which the goats have no access to or enjoyed.
Furthermore, as the obedience sheep of his fold, God has put in place an eternal relationship, fellowship and privilege of abiding in His presence for you and me.
    Conclusively, 1 Kings 3:6 says,
“And Solomon said, Thou hast shewed unto thy servant David my father great mercy, according as he walked before thee in truth, and in righteousness, and in uprightness of heart with thee; and thou hast kept for him this great kindness, that thou hast given him a son to sit on his throne, as it is this day.” Here, King Solomon testifies of the good shepherd’s faithfulness, mercy and love towards house of David. Beloved, may you continue to enjoy God’s faithfulness, steadfast love and mercy all the days of your life in Jesus name. Amen.

God bless you. *Jesus is coming very soon.* Be prepared.

Goodness and mercy, shall follow me all the days of my life.

    PRAYER POINT:
Father, help me to keep to your plan for my life. And let your goodness and mercy not departed from my life in Jesus name. Amen.

  • The good shepherd. V.

    THE NARROW WAY DAILY DIGEST.

    THEME: The Good Shepherd. V.

    MEMORY VERSE:
“Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.”
    Psalms 23:5.

    TODAY’S TEXT:
    2 Kings 2:3, 15.
“And the sons of the prophets that were at Bethel came forth to Elisha, and said unto him, Knowest thou that the LORD will take away thy master from thy head to day? And he said, Yea, I know it; hold ye your peace. And when the sons of the prophets which were to view at Jericho saw him, they said, The spirit of Elijah doth rest on Elisha. And they came to meet him, and bowed themselves to the ground before him.”

    TODAY’S MESSAGE:
Yesterday, we observed that for as many that are the sheep of the good shepherd, they enjoy among many things: *Divine protection with security.* The good shepherd defend His own, He ensures that no harm come to them even to the point of dying for His sheep.
Nevertheless, aside the good shepherd’s sacrificial love towards the sheep, He favours them, even to the admiration of their foes and haters. The psalmist boast of this special grace by saying: *”Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies.”*
Furthermore, the two conversations between Elisha and the fifty sons of prophet in our today’s text, is a pointer to the fact that God is able to make your haters, your foot stool.(Psalms 110:1).
In conclusion, it takes God little or nothing to subdue your enemies, but wants them to see you manifest in glory, that they might come to submit at your feet and become your messengers. I pray that as the good Lord, subdue your foes at your feet, may He makes your cup to run over with great blessings in Jesus name. Amen.

You Lord anoint my head with oil, and my cup overflow.
