THE NARROW WAY DAILY DIGEST

DATE:
Monday February 24, 2020.

THEME:
The Delayed Hope. II.

MEMORY VERSE:
“For this our heart is faint; for these things our eyes are dim.”
Lamentations 5:17.

TODAY’S TEXT:
Daniel 10:12-13.
“Then said he unto me, Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words. But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days: but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me; and I remained there with the kings of Persia.”

TODAY’S MESSAGE:
We open this series knowing full well that, *’Hope deferred makes the heart faint.’* And not forgetting the fact that time and season belong to God. With God when there is delay, it is a matter of time. And no time is like God’s time, for God’s time is the best time.
Nevertheless, Daniel in today’s text prayed and God answered his prayer that instant, but the results or answer to his prayers was delayed from getting to him by the evil force of his time. This is a pointer to the fact that, aside the principle of God’s time, the evil forces often cause delay, in order to prolong the negative experience of a believer.
However, a believer need to be consistent in righteousness, good works, and in prayers till the expectations become a reality. Beloved, hold on to God in that situation that seems to drown you and God will send help your way as you persist in calling Him.
Conclusively, our memory verse shed light on the likely experience, when there is a delayed hope. Saying: _”For this our heart is faint; for these things our eyes are dim.”_ Dear friend, as you continue to look unto God, for a way out of your dilemma, God will surely prove Himself in your situations in Jesus name. Amen.

God bless you.
Till He returns or call you home, do remain in the power of His love.
*Jesus is coming very soon.*
Be prepared.

DAILY CONFESSION:
I will be persistent in the place of prayers, till my change come.

PRAYER POINT:
Father Lord, you never forget your own, even in their dark moment. Please Lord, help me to remain steadfast and persistent in prayer in Jesus name. Amen.

Psalms 107:22.

TODAY’S TEXT:
Acts 16:25-26.
“And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them. And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one’s bands were loosed.”

TODAY’S MESSAGE:
Like it was established from the beginning, that Thanksgiving is an expression of gratitude to God. A culture of reverence for His unending love, uncountable blessings, kindness and mercy. A good way of returning glory to God Almighty.
Thanksgiving, is our testimony of God’s faithfulness towards us. The experience of Paul and Silas in our today’s text, is a confirmation that God dwells in the praises of his people. (Psalm 22:3) Even in the difficulty moments of our lives, God is with us and when we praise Him in that difficulty moment, He is glorified.
Meanwhile, it is important we have the understanding, that we are nothing without God. Then, we can give God the worship, praises and thanksgiving due to Him in whatever situation, we find ourselves.
In conclusion, although it is not easy to sing praises or say prayer of thanksgiving in difficulty moments, but through His grace, let’s learn to give thanks to God, even when hope seems lost or is totally lost. May your hope not be lost in Jesus mighty name. Amen.

God bless you.
