THEME:
The Defeated Enemies: Sins And Sorrows.
MEMORY VERSE:
“Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.”
Isaiah 53:4.
TODAY’S TEXT:
John 16:20
“Verily, verily, I say unto you, That ye shall weep and lament, but the world shall rejoice: and ye shall be sorrowful, but your sorrow shall be turned into joy.”
TODAY’S MESSAGE:
Yesterday, we considered death as one of the enemies defeated, through the sacrifice on the cross of Calvary. The agony of the physical death and pang of eternal condemnation or spiritual death, is out of the way, for as many that cling to the salvation won for them on the cross of Calvary.
Nevertheless, our today’s text thus remind us that, At a time, due to life’s trials and temptation, sorrow may come with weeping and Lamentations. Let’s not forget also that, disobedience to God can lead to sorrow too. As long as you repent and you don’t lose focus again, the end will be full of joy.
Furthermore, in fulfillment of the prophecy that heralded His birth, *”…and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.”* (Matthew 1:21.) Jesus took our sins and nailed it on the cross, He saved us from the power of sin and sorrow. And reconciled us with the Father in heaven. A mission fulfilled through God’s love, in order eradicate sins and sorrows in believers life.
In conclusion, Proverbs 10:22 says; _”The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.”_ When God decides to release His blessings on His people, it is always perfect and everlasting. It is without pain or sorrow attach to it. When He blesses His children, an end surely come to weeping and Lamentation.
God bless you.
Till He returns or call you home, do remain in the power of His love.
*Jesus is coming very soon.*
Be prepared.
