TODAY’S TEXT:
1 Timothy 6:9-10.
“But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition. For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.”

TODAY’S MESSAGE:
Yesterday, we considered the rich and the fool, we saw that the rich can be wise or foolish. While a fool is someone that deny God’s existence, rich or poor.
Meanwhile, Paul explained that on the path of greatness, there are temptations and snares awaiting those that desire riches. He opined that many foolish and hurtful lusts leads to men’s destruction and perdition.
Furthermore, brother Paul emphasize that the love of money is the root of all evil. Although, *”Money answers all things,”* (Ecclesiastes 10:19b) but when you covet it, sorrow will set in and faithfulness will turn faithlessness.
The rich fool is that man or woman that failed to help the destitute and indigents around him. For instance, The man whose gate Lazarus was laid daily (Luke 16:20). And the man that build a bigger barn, because of his increase, but died the day he set to enjoy it.(Luke 12:19-21)
In conclusion, Solomon announce that, “A man or woman who increases his substance through exorbitant interest rate and unjust gain, will not enjoy it, but only gather it for those, who will pity and help the poor. May you not be a rich fool in Jesus name. Amen.

God bless you.

The Rich And The Fool.

THE NARROW WAY DAILY DIGEST

DATE: Thursday, October 17, 2019.

THEME: The Rich And The Fool.

MEMORY VERSE:
“When thou vowest a vow unto God, defer not to pay it; for he hath no pleasure in fools: pay that which thou hast vowed.”
Ecclesiastes 5:4.

TODAY’S TEXT:
Jeremiah 17:10-11.
“I the LORD search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings. As the partridge sitteth on eggs, and hatcheth them not; so he that getteth riches, and not by right, shall leave them in the midst of his days, and at his end shall be a fool.”

TODAY’S MESSAGE:
In the last edition, we considered the wise and the poor. And to be wise is to be full of experience, having wisdom, knowledge and understanding of human endeavors. While to be poor, is to lack money, position, influence and be socially behind, but may be full of virtues as the case may be.
Meanwhile, the Rich is the one that is well to do, having financial abundance, he or she may be wise or foolish as the case may be. Do know that, a Fool is one that denied God’s existence, he may be rich or poor as the case may be.
However, God in His word says through prophet Jeremiah that, _”He searches the heart of man, to give according to his ways and fruit of his doing.”_ This implies that, whatever you do, the motive behind it and the results of your actions, will be the bases for your reward before God.
More so, God reveals to us that, *”getting riches in wrong way is dangerous to our destiny and harmful to our destination in life. For it simply cut off or cut short ones life.”*
Finally, king Solomon in one of his sermons, encourage us to fulfill our vows to God, for failure to do so, is tantamount to foolishness. May you not be foolish before God in Jesus name. Amen.

God bless you.
Till He returns or call you home, do remain in the power of His love.
*Jesus is coming very soon.*
Be prepared.

The Wise And The Poor.

THE NARROW WAY DAILY DIGEST

DATE: Tuesday, October 15, 2019.

THEME: The Wise And The Poor.

MEMORY VERSE:
“Wisdom is better than weapons of war: but one sinner destroyeth much good.”
Ecclesiastes 9:18.

TODAY’S TEXT:
Proverbs 28:6-7.
“Better is the poor that walketh in his uprightness, than he that is perverse in his ways, though he be rich. Whoso keepeth the law is a wise son: but he that is a companion of riotous men shameth his father.”

TODAY’S MESSAGE:
Yesterday, we considered the poor and the righteous, we observe that the poor and the righteous will always have a place in God’s heart. Although, one can be poor and be righteous, or rich and still remain righteous. Meaning that there are poor righteous people and there are rich righteous people also.
Meanwhile, Ecclesiastes 9:14-16 tells us a story saying, *”There was a little city, and few men within it; and there came a great king against it, and besieged it, and built great bulwarks against it: Now there was found in it a poor wise man, and he by his wisdom delivered the city; yet no man remembered that same poor man. Then said I, Wisdom is better than strength: nevertheless the poor man’s wisdom is despised, and his words are not heard.”* That is, to be wise is to be knowledgeable and full of experience in most human endeavors. As you can see from the story above, it was the poor wise man that delivered the city by defeating the great evil king. But it saddens the heart, that afterward no one remember him, a wise person don’t fight or shout over gift, reward or position, rather he or she prefers silence and always contented.
Conclusively, our memory verse emphasize that, _’Wisdom is better than the weapons of war and sin destroys much good.’_ And also our today’s text declares that, *”Better is the poor that walketh in his uprightness, than he that is perverse in his ways…”* May you continue to walk in uprightness of heart now and always in Jesus name. Amen.

God bless you.
Till He returns or call you home, do remain in the power of His love.
*Jesus is coming very soon.*
Be prepared.

DAILY CONFESSION:
The fear of the Lord, is the beginning of wisdom.

PRAYER POINT:
Gracious Father, please fill me wisdom, knowledge and understanding. That I may be of great help to my community and the world at large in Jesus name. Amen.

B. J. Folorunsho.

The Poor And The Righteous.

THE NARROW WAY DAILY DIGEST

DATE: Monday, October 14, 2019.

THEME: The Poor and The Righteous.

MEMORY VERSE:
“For the poor shall never cease out of the land: therefore I command thee, saying, Thou shalt open thine hand wide unto thy brother, to thy poor, and to thy needy, in thy land.”
Deuteronomy 15:11.

TODAY’S TEXT:
Psalms 112:7-9.
“He shall not be afraid of evil tidings: his heart is fixed, trusting in the LORD. His heart is established, he shall not be afraid, until he see his desire upon his enemies. He hath dispersed, he hath given to the poor; his righteousness endureth for ever; his horn shall be exalted with honour.”

TODAY’S MESSAGE:
In the last edition, we considered the wealthy and the wicked. Where we arrived at a point, that to be wealthy and wicked is a thing of the heart, for a man who is not operating under God’s grace through Christ Jesus. And that wickedness can not make you to be truly wealthy, except for hard work and the blessings of the Most High. For there are many wicked people, who are very poor and many wealthy people who are righteous.
However, a poor is someone who is with little or no possessions or money. A person of low quality, and socially deficient in a specific way, such as influence and resources. A righteous is someone who is free from sin or guilt, one that is morally sound and virtuous. These two groups of people have a special place in the heart of God.(Amos 2:6)
Meanwhile, one can be righteous and be poor or poor and remain righteous. While our today’s text talks about the blessings of the righteous, such as boldness, fixed hope, established blessings, fulfillment, endurance and exalted with honour. For he or she that genuinely gives to the poor is righteous before God and man.
Finally, the scripture open our hearts to one major difference between the wicked and the righteous saying; *”The righteous considereth the cause of the poor: but the wicked regardeth not to know it.”* (Proverbs 29:7) while the wicked ignore the poor, the righteous embrace them genuinely. May you have the grace to embrace the poor and the needy around you in Jesus name. Amen.

God bless you.
Till He returns or call you home, do remain in the power of His love.
*Jesus is coming very soon.*
Be prepared.

DAILY CONFESSION:
I will not faint or fail in my responsibility to the indigents.

PRAYER POINT:
Father of all, you are too faithful to fail me. Help me with grace to be who you want me to be, to all that cross my path in life in Jesus name. Amen.

Yours in Christ,
B. J. Folorunsho.

The Wealthy And The Wicked.

THE NARROW WAY DAILY DIGEST

DATE: Friday, October 11, 2019.

THEME: The Wealthy And The Wicked.

MEMORY VERSE:
“God shall likewise destroy thee for ever, he shall take thee away, and pluck thee out of thy dwelling place, and root thee out of the land of the living.”
Psalms 52:5.

TODAY’S TEXT:
Psalms 52:2-4.
“Thy tongue deviseth mischiefs; like a sharp rasor, working deceitfully. Thou lovest evil more than good; and lying rather than to speak righteousness. Thou lovest all devouring words, O thou deceitful tongue.”

TODAY’S MESSAGE:
Today, we want to compare and contrast between the Wealthy and the wicked. Are all the wealthy wicked? Or are all the wicked wealthy? Or are there things or aspect of wealth that brings about wickedness? Or are there something in wickedness that brings about wealth?
Meanwhile, to be wealthy is possessing financial wealth; riches and have all that money can buy. Also, It is having abundant in quality or quantity. While, to be wicked is to be evil or mischievous by nature; such as hardhearted, stingy, selfish, frivolous, and so on.
However, to be wealthy has nothing to do with wickedness and to be wicked does not guarantee wealth. For the scripture says in Proverbs 10:22, “The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.” This implies that God’s blessings is full of joy and a joyful heart is a good heart, which cannot be wicked.
Moreover, wickedness is not synonymous to wealth, and neither is wealth to wickedness. Although wealth can becloud the heart of a man or woman, who does not operate under the grace of God in Christ Jesus and by extension become wicked. If you observe you have a bit of wickedness, come to Jesus for cleansing today, for tomorrow maybe too late. (Luke 12:20)
Conclusively, the creator certainly created all things good and beautifully well, but the enemy trickily sow wickedness in the heart of man. If you are rich, be good and show love to the poor around you. To be wicked is to fail to help, when you can be of help. May you be wealthy and not be wicked in Jesus name. Amen.

God bless you.
Till He returns or call you home, do remain in the power of His love.
*Jesus is coming very soon.*
Be prepared.

DAILY CONFESSION:
I refuse to be wicked. And today, I receive great wealth from the Lord.

PRAYER POINT:
Father, remove from me, any iota of wickedness. And help me Lord, to have great increase in all that I lay my hands upon in Jesus name. Amen

Yours in Christ,
B. J. Folorunsho.
